Terps fall to Bowling Green 48-27

Despite taking the lead in the first half, the Maryland Terrapins fell to the Bowling Green Falcons with a final score of 48-27.

Junior defensive back William Likely returned a punt for a touchdown in the first half. The punt return tied the second longest punt return in the school's history, according to Maryland Athletics.

Likely started trending on Twitter after the play.

Weather proved to be an issue during the game, and the start of the third quarter was delayed about 55 minutes because of nearby lightning.

Bowling Green scored 28 points to Maryland's 7 in the final quarter to secure the win.
