Maryland is making its 24th trip to the Final Four. They've won three of their last four semifinal appearances, including last season's 12-11 win over rival Johns Hopkins.
The top-seeded Terps will face No. 5 Brown Saturday afternoon in Philadelphia. Maryland holds a 15-0 all-time record against Brown, including a 3-0 record in the NCAA Tournament.
Last week against Syracuse, Maryland won its 16th game of the season, breaking the program single-season record for victories, which was set last season.
Junior Matt Rambo totaled 22 points (13g, 9a) in his last four games. His six points against Syracuse gve him 63 points on the season - the most for a Maryland player since Joe Walters posted 60 in 2006.
The Terps have won 13 NCAA Tournament games since head coach John Tillman took over the program in 2011. Tillman is searching for his 100th career win with Maryland Saturday.
Tillman has led the Terps to the NCAA Final Four in five of his six seasons. Despite their postseason success, the Terps have not won an NCAA Championship game since 1975 when Bud Beardmore's squad defeated Navy.
Maryland hopes to get another shot at a Championship title this weekend, but they'll have to get through Brown's top-ranked offense first. Face-off is set for 2:30 p.m. Saturday from Philadelphia, Pa.
