Calvert Hall, John Carroll, Beth Tfiloh win MIAA lacrosse titles

Calvert Hall, John Carroll and Beth Tfiloh won their respective Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association conference lacrosse championships Thursday at Homewood Field.

MIAA A Conference Championship

Calvert Hall defeated defending champion McDonogh 12-6. Brendan Curry scored five goals for the Cardinals, who finish the season undefeated in the MIAA.

MIAA B Conference Championship

John Carroll won its third consecutive title, topping Gerstell 16-11.  Jake Krieger scored five goals for the Patriots.

MIAA C Conference Championship

Beth Tfiloh won its first MIAA title in school history, edging Indian Creek 9-8. Scott Tepper paced the Warriors with five goals. 

Beth Tfiloh was playing in its fourth consecutive championship game. 

The Warriors played without any of their seniors due to their school's annual senior trip to Israel.

There was an hour and 26 minute lightning delay with 3:31 remaining in regulation when the score was tied 8-8.
