Baysox host "Minion Day" featuring a Machado bobblehead

The Bowie Baysox are hosting a "Minions Day" featuring a "Mannyion" Manny Machado bobblehead.

Minions Day is Sunday, Aug. 7 at 2:05 p.m. as the Baysox take on the Richmond Flying Squirrels.

Fans are encouraged to wear Minions gear or even dress up as a Minion. There will be Minions walking around the stadium greeting fans.

Members of the Louie's Kids Club can also purchase a special ticket package for the game. It includes an exclusive meet and greet session with the Minions, free access to the Kids park before the game starts.

“We are very excited about the next in our great series of Manny Machado-themed bobblehead collectibles,” said Baysox Marketing Director Brandan Kaiser in a statement.

“The Minions have been such a popular phenomenon for kids and adults and this opportunity to meet the characters and get this giveaway makes for a great family event.”

The first 1,000 fans ages 13 and up will receive a "Mannyion."

The Orioles 2010 first round draft pick, Machado appeared in 109 games with the Baysox in 2012, hitting .266 with 26 doubles, 11 home runs and 59 RBI. He was promoted directly from Bowie to the Orioles where he made his Major League debut August 9, 2012.
