BALTIMORE, Md. - The Baltimore Orioles unleashed a barrage of homeruns Wednesday night against Toronto, crushing the Blue Jays 12-2 before an enthusiastic crowd at Camden Yards. Chris Davis and Manny Machado each connected twice and the Baltimore Orioles tied a team record with seven home runs.
The Orioles remained a game-and-half behind the first-place New York Yankees, who defeated the Minnesota Twins earlier in the day, 8-2.
Nate McLouth and Mark Reynolds also homered, as well as designated hitter Jim Thome, who hit his 612th career homerun, his third since joining the O's. The Orioles have hit seven home runs in a game three times, most recently in 1985. The Birds have hit 200th round-trippers this season.
