Bowie Baysox will host Betty White Tribute night

BOWIE, Md. - The Bowie Baysox will honor Betty White at an upcoming game.  The game is Saturday, April 16, when the Baysox play the Erie SeaWolves.  Game time is 6:35 p.m.

Fans of all ages are encouraged to show up at the game dressed like White.  The fan that most closely resembles White, will win a Baysox prize.

Fans will also compete in contests, inspired by White's best known characters.

White played Rose Nylund on The Golden Girls.  On the show, Nylund was from St. Olaf, Minnesota.  At the game, two lucky fans will compete in the St. Olaf race.

At last year's Super Bowl, White appeared in a football based Snickers commercial.  At the tribute game, one lucky fan will be able to compete in a football challenge for a Snickers prize pack.

Fans will also compete in the Florence Dusty Muffin Eating Contest, based on White's character when she hosted Saturday Night Live last  year.

A fireworks show follows the Saturday game at Prince George's Stadium.  For tickets, click here .
