The Baltimore Blast announced the return of defender Pat Healy Wednesday.

Healy, who was named MASL defender of the year in 2016 and 2015, ranks sixth all-time in blocks, ninth in assists and 26 in goals.

“Whenever you can add the reigning defender of the year back into your team, it's a good thing.  Our goal every season is to compete for a championship, and Pat coming back with the qualities that he brings has increased our chances of doing just that," said head coach Danny Kelly.

In addition to Healy, the Blast added forward Daniel Peruzzi to the roster. Perruzi has experience playing futsal in Italy and most recently played for Milano Calcio.

"Daniel Peruzzi has the potential to be a special player in our league once he picks up the indoor game.  Coming from a futsal background, he's got very good technical skills as well as goal scoring ability.  I'm looking forward to having Daniel in Baltimore and integrating him into the team," Kelly said.

The Blast play at home Saturday Dec. 10 against the Florida Tropics at 7:35 p.m. at Royal Farms Arena.
