Saturday will mark the sixth time Army's and Navy's football teams have faced off in Baltimore.
The annual football game is traditionally played on neutral grounds, and has been played in Philadelphia 86 times since the first game was played in 1890.
It's been played in New York 11 times.
Baltimore is the third-most popular location for the game. Army-Navy first played at the former Municipal Stadium in 1924 in Baltimore, then it returned 20 years later. Amy won both of those match ups.
Decades went by before the annual game came back to Baltimore in 2000, and Navy won that year.
The game was also played in Baltimore in 2007 and 2014. Navy won both those years as well.
Terry Hasseltine, the executive director of Maryland Sports, expects the economic impact on the city to be around $28.5 million.
Hotel occupancy will be "at an all time high," he said, and the Friday night gala at the Baltimore Convention Center is always a fan favorite.
"You can already see the buzz down at the Inner Harbor," Hasseltine said. "It's one of those times when we wish we had 15,000 more seats (at M&T Bank Stadium.)
Hasseltine said it's tough to determine the effect of President-Elect Donald Trump's presence at the game.
"I think it brings another set of eyes to the game, but I don't know what the potential impact of that could be," he said.
The tradition returns to Philadelphia in 2017 and 2018. Future locations have not been determined, but Hasseltine said representatives from about 10 other cities, including Seattle and San Diego, are expected to be in Baltimore this weekend scouting out future bidding opportunities.
