BALTIMORE, Md. - The field for the 2014 NCAA Division I Lacrosse Tournament got released Sunday.
The state of Maryland is represented well, as usual, with Loyola University, the University of Maryland and Johns Hopkins all earning spots. Both Johns Hopkins and Maryland received at large bids, while Loyola won the Patriot League.
Maryland will face off against Cornell at 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 10. On that same day, Loyola squares off against Albany at noon.
Johns Hopkins will see the University of Virginia in a tough first round test on Sunday, May 11 at 1 p.m.
The winners of the first round will advance to the Quarterfinals in Hampstead, N.Y., where if victorious, the teams will move forward to the Semifinals and Championship held at M&T Bank Stadium May 24 and May 26, respectively.
