3 Maryland children killed in car crash in South Carolina

Four people died in a two vehicle high-speed collision on I-95 in Colleton County, South Carolina around 4 a.m. Friday.

According to authorities, the car was struck by a tractor trailer in the rear and pushed into the woods.

The truck crushed the car trapping the driver and passengers in the back seat. 

The driver, 27-year-old Nancy Torres, and the passenger were transported to a local hospital.

One adult and three children seated in the back of the car were pronounced deceased at the scene.

Torres is the only victim to be identified at this time.

The crash is still under investigation by South Carolina Highway Patrol.
