Previous three-time winner Minneapolis-Saint Paul, Minnesota dropped to second place.
Baltimore came in 25th place, while Memphis, Tennessee ranked last.
The study looked at the nation's 50 largest metropolitan areas and compared several factors, including: preventative health behaviors and amenities that support physical activity and healthy living.
