Australian officials complain about Apple's map app

SYDNEY (AP) -- Australian officials are calling Apple's mapping application "potentially life threatening."

They say the directions Apple's Maps service give for the southern city of Mildura are so bad that they're leading some drivers to the Australian bush in remote Murray Sunset National Park. Some drivers have been stranded for two days without food or water.

Apple's CEO apologized for errors in its Maps service more than two months ago, but Australian officials say the problem has only been "half-fixed."
