It’s not just the little ones who get to dress up for Halloween. Companies are making a ton of money on pet costumes as well.
I reached out to a few retailers to see which costumes are hot this year. Party City said humor-driven costumes do best, like hot dogs and tacos! Spirit Halloween store said the Ghostbusters jumpsuit, Bob Minion, and Animal Planet Lion are some of their best-sellers.
And we can’t forget about Amazon, which now has a local warehouse in Baltimore. Star Wars characters and superheroes top their list of animal costumes. Like this Ewok and this Yoda costume. And here’s the one I’m getting for Bernie: Classic Batman costume. And there’s Wonder Woman for all the female dogs out there!
Most of the costumes can fit cats as well. Just be sure to check the description or confirm with the store.
There’s always the DIY route as well. Here are a few of my favorites that I came across online, that should be relatively easy, quick, and cheap to make, especially if it’s a last-minute decision.
