The Justice Department says classified information stolen by a former National Security Agency contractor includes names of covert intelligence officers.

Prosecutors made the allegation in a court filing Thursday.

Attorneys for Harold T. Martin III will ask a federal judge Friday to consider freeing Martin from custody as his case proceeds. A magistrate denied that same request last week.

Prosecutors say much of the information seized from Martin's home in August is highly classified and that it includes the names of undercover intelligence officers working in foreign countries.

Martin's attorneys say he is a compulsive hoarder and there's no evidence he was a spy.

Booz Allen Hamilton fired Martin after his arrest. The firm says it's hired former FBI Director Robert Mueller to review its security practices.
