Two University of Maryland football players face charges in a string of BB gun shootings on campus.
Lorenzo Harrison III and Darryl (DJ) Turner II each face three counts of second degree assault and three counts of reckless endangerment.
University of Maryland Police say on November 6, UMD students reported three separate incidents of being hit by BB gun pellets.
A male student riding his bike on Paint Branch Drive between Kim Engineering and Biomolecular Science Buildings was hit. A male and female student were walking on the sidewalk on Stadium Drive between Stadium Drive Garage and Ellicott Hall, when the man was hit. And in the third incident, a woman and a male UMD student were near Paint Branch Drive and Technology Drive when the woman was hit.
Harrison and Turner are both freshmen and played high school football at DeMatha.
The two, along with Antoine Brooks, were suspended by the team indefinitely ahead of last Saturday's game against No. 6 Ohio State.
