The 19th annual Tug of War game against the Maritime Republic of Eastport and Annapolis took place Sunday.
This East versus West "slaughter across the water" at Spa Creek pulled out the competition in everyone.
ABC 2 personalities Jamie Costello, Wyatt Everhart and Meghan Knight all took to the Annapolis side of the rope during the series of eight tug-of-war battles.
ABC2’s Chief Meteorologist Wyatt Everhart talked about how tough of a workout it was to help secure the win for Annapolis.
"I like to think of myself as a fitness guy, but this really is a whole different ballgame," he said.
This game, however, isn’t all about winning or bragging rights. The main goal is to raise money for a specific charity and this year the teams are donating all proceeds to domestic violence awareness.
Annapolis came out on top of Eastport this time around. Final score: 5-3.
