TSA unveils new screening technology to provide more privacy for passengers

LANHAM, Md. - The Transportation Security Administration unveiled a new screening program today designed to give passengers an enhanced sense of privacy.

Although we got a chance to see the new imaging system in action today at the Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport, TSA plans to roll out the software at airports nationwide.

The imaging software does away with the current system that shows screeners the full outline of passengers bodies to spot any security threats, but the new system only shows the outline of a generic human form.

Screeners will still be able to spot anything dangerous, but people who don't like the idea of their form being projected for TSA employees can travel a little easier.
