4 People Shot in Landover

Last Update: 6/03 12:37 pm
LANDOVER, Md. (AP) -- Prince George's County police say a 19-year-old woman has been killed and three others have been injured in an overnight shooting in Landover.

Sgt. Michelle Reedy says the shooting occurred late Tuesday in the 9000 block of Continental Place. Reedy says police found Shai Caldwell of Bowie with a gunshot wound to her upper body. Caldwell was taken to a hospital, where she died.

Three other victims, including a 22-year-old man and two 20-year-old women, also were shot. They are in stable condition at area hospitals.

Police say a preliminary investigation shows the four victims were standing on a sidewalk when an unknown suspect shot them and then fled. Neighbors say a large crowd had gathered to celebrate a graduation.
