3 Killed in Western Maryland Crash

LAVALE, Md. (AP) -- Three people have been killed in a head-on collision in the Allegany County community of LaVale.

Maryland State Police say 31-year-old Mandy May, of Mount Savage, was driving east on U.S. 40 Wednesday night when her vehicle crossed the center line and collided with an SUV driven by 59-year-old Leon Brashears, of Frostburg.

Police say May and both of her passengers were killed. The passengers were 31-year-old Tana Lynn Davis and 11-year-old Thadius Duckworth, both of Mount Savage.
