The foreclosure auction of the 1st Mariner Tower has been canceled after its lender filed a motion to dismiss the foreclosure case.
The auction had been set for October 21.
Baltimore developer Ed Hale owns the tower. Tenants include 1st Mariner Bank, CareFirst, and Comcast.
Officials from Baltimore Circuit Court said that attorneys for Natixis had filed a motion of voluntary dismissal of the case. The Paris based bank started foreclosure proceedings on the tower and adjoining land last month.
