A departing airplane stalled its takeoff Tuesday because of smoke in the cockpit, a spokesman for Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport said.
Airport spokesman Jonathan Dean said a precautionary alert was issued for Southwest Airlines Flight 3782, which was bound for Orlando, Fla., at 3:20 p.m.
The aircraft returned to the gate with its own power. There were no injuries.
Southwest officials said the airline will work with passengers to arrange another flight.
