A Prince George's County school bus attendant is accused of molesting two young students with special needs.

Thirty-eight-year-old Michael Patopie of Capitol Heights, Maryland, was arrested Tuesday on multiple counts of child abuse and sex abuse. A police statement says Patopie is accused of inappropriately touching two students, ages four and five, on a school bus in November 2015 and May 2016.

Court documents state Patopie worked as an aide on the bus, which serves special-needs children.

Prince George's County Public Schools Chief Executive Officer Kevin M. Maxwell said in a statement that he's seeking to immediately fire Patopie, given his arrest.

It's not immediately clear whether Patopie has an attorney.
