ANNAPOLIS, Md - Republican Larry Hogan says he plans to formally enter the Maryland governor's race later this month.
The Washington Post reports that Hogan plans to launch his campaign at an Annapolis crab house on Jan. 21.
The 57-year-old Hogan is an Anne Arundel County real estate broker who served as appointments secretary under former Republican governor Robert Ehrlich. He currently leads Change Maryland, a government watchdog group.
He'll join a Republican field that includes Harford County Executive David R. Craig, Del. Ronald George and Charles County businessman Charles Lollar.
Hogan says he hasn't yet selected a running mate.
