Hundreds of potential Ravens cheerleaders showed off their moves Saturday at the first round of tryouts held at the Downtown Athletic Club.
Approximately 250 men and women put their dance training and athletic skills to the test to prove to Ravens officials they have what it takes to make the 2013 squad. Cheerleader hopefuls are judged on physical talent, dance ability, personality, appearance and poise.
With only 50 spots available the competition is fierce. The field will narrow on Sunday when only a fraction of Saturday’s contestants return for a callback.
Officials say the final decisions will be made by Sunday evening.
