The Frederick News-Post says it will ask a judge to force Frederick Community College to disclose information about the ouster of the school's president.
The newspaper said in an editorial Sunday that it will take the school to court. An accompanying story describes the newspaper's quest to obtain a copy of a written settlement between the schools' Board of Trustees and former president Frederico Talley.
Talley left the school in January after six months on the job. He and school officials have said his departure reflected differences in vision and philosophy.
Board President Dixie Miller says the settlement is part of a confidential personnel file that is not subject to disclosure under the state's Public Information Act.
