Prisoner serving for attempted murder escapes

BALTIMORE - Officials are looking for a man they say escaped the Dorsey Run Correctional Facility by scaling a fence.

According to officials with the Department of Corrections, Larence Godfrey escaped the facility early Monday morning.  He is serving 20 years for attempted murder.

Officials say he scaled a fence toped with razor wire shortly before 5 am.  He used blankets to get over the wire.

Godfrey was sentenced in Prince George's County in 2002 and is expected to be released in October 2016.

Someone saw him last on 295 North near Route 100 between 7:20 am and 7:40 am.
