Police: Pregnant woman assaulted by three police impersonators

Maryland State Police are looking for three suspected police impersonators who robbed and assaulted a woman in Worcester County Thursday evening.

Just before 6 p.m, officers responded to a 911 call from a 38-year-old woman who said she was pulled over by three suspects who pepper sprayed and robbed her during a traffic stop. 

Police found the victim near Powellville Road and Webb Road before being  she was transported to Peninsula Regional Medical Center for treatment. 

She was released Thursday, but was punched in the stomach and had a pepper sprayed towel held over face.

The suspects were said to be driving a black Chevrolet SUV with Maryland plates and flashing lights.
