A cat had to have its leg amputated after it was shot with a pellet gun.
Police said the cat named "Maximus" was found hurt in La Plata last Tuesday night.
The Charles County Sheriff's Office is now offering a reward for information leading to an arrest.
No word yet on a suspect.
