A security guard is in critical condition after being shot during a suspected robbery at the UMUC Inn & Conference Center in College Park early Tuesday morning.
University of Maryland Police responded to the incident just after 1 a.m.
A suspect has been taken into custody. Police are still searching the area for a second suspect, who may be armed.
One suspect was seen wearing a blue, long sleeve shirt, black hoodie, black ski mask and dark shoes with dreadlocks, wearing yellow or light-colored gloves. A second suspect is described as a black male with dreadlocks pulled into a ponytail, wearing a blue short sleeve shirt, dark pants and dark shoes.

Locals are advised to avoid the area until further notice.
