MIDDLETOWN, Md. - A Frederick County high school is in desperate need of a new stadium. A couple with children at the school are stepping up in a big way. They're raffling off their house.
Mark and Donna Gaver are donating their house to raise an additional one million dollars for renovations to the Middletown High School stadium, according to Platinum PR. The couple are alumni of the school and have two children who currently attend.
"The stadium has some of the worst seating and bathroom facilities," said Mark Gaver. "The bleachers do not meet code, there's no handicapped accessible bathrooms and there are only four bathroom fixtures."
The Middletown High School Sports Club is sponsoring the raffle. They hope to sell 15,000 tickets at $100 each by June 13th. The drawing will be at Hollow Creek Golf Club.
