UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (AP) -- Prince George's County police say the number of children allegedly sexually abused by an elementary school volunteer has increased from 12 to 16.

Twenty-two-year-old Deonte Carraway was arrested Feb. 5 and charged with producing child pornography and sexual abuse of a minor after a nude photo was discovered on a child's cellphone that had been sent to Calloway via social media.

Police said Saturday they believe Carraway victimized 16 children, including on at Zion Praise Tabernacle Lutheran Church in Bowie, Maryland.

Carraway was a paid assistant at Judge Sylvania Woods Elementary School in Glenarden, and the director of a youth choir.

The guardian of one of Carraway's alleged victims last week filed a lawsuit against the school system alleging that the principal and teachers knew about Carraway's predatory behavior.
