Friday, Richard Collins III will be laid to rest.
Collins was a Bowie State University student who was stabbed to death on the campus of University of Maryland College Park.
Collins was commissioned to the U.S. Army the week before he was killed.
The ceremony begins with a viewing Friday at 9 A.M. at First Baptist Church of Glenarden Worship Center in Upper Marlboro. The funeral begins at 11 A.M.
UMD student Sean Urbanksi is charged with killing Collins. The FBI is investigating to see if it is a hate crime.
