Md. teen honored in Tournament of Roses Parade

HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) - A Hagerstown teenager who died earlier this year in a single-car crash will be honored as part of a float in the Tournament of Roses Parade on New Year's Day.

Quinn Hoover died in March, and the 17-year-old's family donated his organs after he died.

The Herald-Mail of Hagerstown reports the Washington County Technical High School student will be one of more than 70 organ donors honored on the float.

The float, called Journeys of the Heart, will feature a picture of Hoover made out of plant materials. Hoover's parents will be going to California to help decorate the float. Hoover's family says his organs helped save three lives.
