Maryland State Police are investigating the stabbing of a man on the Intercounty Connector.

A man was stabbed in the leg on Wednesday around 3:30 p.m. after two trucks engaged in an altercation on the eastbound MD Route 200.

An investigation revealed that the victim was riding on the passenger side of a Chevy Silverado pickup truck towards northbound Interstate 95 when a gray Ford pickup truck with an extended or four-door cab configuration attempted to go around to get onto the ramp.

When the driver trying to pass couldn't’t get over he got out of his truck and ordered the victim on the passenger side to get out as well. When the victim refused, the suspect opened the passenger door and stabbed the victim in the leg.

The driver of the Chevy Silverado pickup truck called police as the suspect drove off heading on to the northbound I-95 ramp.

Police describe the suspect as a black male, about six feet tall and 225 pounds. He was wearing a dark t-shirt and blue jeans.

The victim was taken to Laurel Regional Hospital for treatment.
