Maryland moved to 'Level 2' in anticipation of snow

The State Emergency Operations Center has activated to Level 2 operations this morning in anticipation of a pending snowstorm.

A Maryland Emergency Management Agency made the announcement via Twitter at 1:29 a.m. Tuesday.

A Level 2 indicates several other state agencies -- primarily those in support of transportation, law enforcement and other emergency response agencies -- will be in the state emergency operations center to coordinate state assistance to local emergency managers.
