A new report card from the Department of Environment says Maryland beaches are healthy.
The report shows beaches open for swimming in our state had no health-based advisories 99% of the time. The department credits reducing water pollution and visitors who help keep the beaches clean for the good report.
This is the fifth year in a row that Maryland exceeded 98%.
