Man wanted for putting Salisbury University on lockdown caught

SALISBURY - The man suspected of hurting three police officers and prompting a lockdown at Salisbury University is now behind bars.

Troopers caught up with 32-year-old Edwin Fletcher in Delaware.

They're now working to extradite him back to Maryland.

Three officers were hurt on March 26 when Fletcher allegedly drove onto and over their cruiser after getting into a shootout with police near Salisbury University.

Police were trying to arrest Fletcher on a felony drug warrant at the time.
