A man who prosecutors say wore a wig, eye shadow and lipstick during a bank robbery has been sentenced to 10 years in prison.
Nineteen-year-old Daquan Barnes was sentenced last week in Washington County Circuit Court in Hagerstown. He had pleaded guilty to the May 9 bank robbery.
In that crime, police say Barnes entered the M&T Bank in Boonsboro, sat in a chair and told a teller who approached him to put money in a shopping bag he handed to her.
The Herald-Mail of Hagerstown reports that the teller gave him more than $2,000 in cash, and he left. Prosecutors say a customer saw what was going on and followed Barnes until a sheriff's deputy spotted him.
