Those are some of the 15 items on a bucket list for Little Joe , a beagle mix who was diagnosed with cancer.
“I cried a lot when I first heard the diagnosis.” Kathryne Shomali, Little Joe’s owner said. “It was just terrible to think about what he was going to have to go through.
She and her husband Essam Shomali, of Towson, created the list to give Joe the best life he can have with the time he has left. Other items on the list include eating a steak dinner in the park, going to a doggie spa, going for a swim and riding in a motorcycle sidecar.
Before fine china, and sofas and big screen TV’s this newly married couple wanted a dog. And once they looked into Joe’s eyes, they knew he had to come home. They've had him just two years.
“We hadn’t even gotten the chance to enjoy him,” Kathryne said.
“No. I don’t want to think about the end line,” Kathryne said. “I don’t want to think about the day that I’m going to have to say goodbye to him. I really don’t. We want to take it day by day and have an awesome time doing this bucket list with him.”
Little Joe didn't have such a great start in life. He lived in and out of motels, didn't go on walks and never played with toys. But in his final days he will be treated like a king.
ABC2 News was happy to help Little Joe scratch an item off of his list Wednesday night.
