Maryland lawmakers want BWI to change their flight patterns so they're no longer flying planes directly over homes nearby.

Senator Chris Van Hollen, Senator Ben Cardin and seven other Maryland congressmen signed a letter requesting the FAA to make the changes.

The delegation wants to bring back the old patterns before new ones were implemented in 2015.

The "NextGen" program was designed to make flying more efficient and reduce costs.
