LAUREL, Md. - Many Walmart workers in Laurel didn't exactly spend Black Friday the way you would expect. They protested.
The protest was one of 1,000 nationwide protests on and leading up to Black Friday. Union workers and supporters say the action is to inform customers of concerns workers have about potential illegal actions.
The protest at the Walmart in Laurel began at 9:45 a.m. Workers hoped to address low take-home pay, alleged under-staffing and early Black Friday sales.
