A Laurel swim coach is facing 10 years in jail for felony child abuse after entering a guilty plea this Wednesday.
Christopher Huott was charged in April after a girl he coached and babysat told police he abused her in the 1980s from the time she was 7 years old until she was 12.
Huott, 52, of Fulton pleaded guilty to a single count of felony child abuse. His sentencing will take place next month and prosecutors are recommending a maximum 10 years in jail as part of the plea agreement.
He is the founder and owner of the Maryland Suburban Swim Club.
