BALTIMORE (WMAR) - People who live in Maryland have already set their clocks forward, but spring-like weather does not seem to be on the horizon.
A winter weather travel advisory has been issued by the State Highway Administration for Monday morning.
Highway officials are asking drivers to drive with extreme caution due to impending low temperatures and a rain/snow mixture.
"Cold temperatures and precipitation are bringing an extended winter season for Maryland," said SHA Administrator Melinda B. Peters. "Plan ahead now for tomorrow morning. SHA encourages everyone to remain alert for trucks and each other while driving," she added.
Crews are being dispatched Sunday night to monitor weather conditions and treat roads with salt.
