"I'm not nervous, I'm ecstatic," he said. "This is probably the best marching band I've stood in front of in 29 years…"They will be first rate."
That confidence comes from the quality of musicians, but also the time put into a performance.
The 225 member band rehearses 8 hours a day and has put in an extra 12 hours for this special event.
This is the 4 th Inaugural Parade that the band has performed in. In their 104 year history, they also performed in the inaugurations of Dwight Eisenhower in 1953, John F. Kennedy in 1960, and Ronald Regan in 1985.
The band has also played for Queen Elizabeth II.
