The head of Prince George's County Liquor Board was arrested Thursday night for driving under the influence, WJLA reported Friday.

Charles Caldwell was arrested after the grand opening of MGM National Harbor.

Prince George's County Police told the ABC affiliate that a three-car crash happened around 11:40 p.m. on Monument Avenue at National Avenue, near the casino. Police said the car that belonged to Caldwell smelled strongly of alcohol.

Caldwell took a field sobriety test, but he failed it and was charged with DUI.

No one was injured in the crash.

The MGM is the 6th casino in Maryland, joining Horseshoe Casino, Maryland LIVE! and Perryville Races and Slots.
The $1.4 billion project is expected to create jobs and bring in tourists.
