Maryland is getting a big bonus to help fight crime across the state.

Governor Larry Hogan announced that more than $3.5 million in grants has been allocated to reduce violence statewide.

The money will be distributed to 55 agencies by the Governor's Office of Crime Control and Prevention.

The funding will go towards safe streets programs, gun violence reduction, as well as sex offender compliance and enforcement.
