A night of terror began at an apartment complex on Redfield Court in Frederick where three men grabbed a young woman by her hair as she prepared to enter a unit, slapped her around and gagged her in the midst of a kidnapping.

"All three males took her into a car at knifepoint and took her to another apartment in the area at which point, two of the males allegedly raped her," said Sgt. Andrew Alcorn of the Frederick Police Department.

Police have now arrested 17-year old Edgar Chicas-Hernandez and 19-year old Victor Gonzalez-Guttierres in connection with a heinous, sexual assault of a victim they knew from Frederick High School.

"So she was held captive for several hours before they took her back home so upon taking her to the apartment, they held her there captive for several hours, raped her multiple times and then returned her back to her apartment," said Alcorn.

Police say the victim reported a third suspect, who covered his face, recorded the rape with a cell phone, and investigators are now looking into allegations that the crime may have been set up by an acquaintance of the victim, a 13-year-old girl.

"We believe that the younger acquaintance did know that this was going to occur," said Alcorn, "The detective who is investigating it, Detective McPeak is working very closely with the State's Attorney's Office on this to determine whether or not charges are appropriate for the acquaintance in this matter."
"Does that make you an accessory?"
"Yes.  It would make you an accessory before the fact."

It is further alleged that the 13-year-old may have contacted the victim's boyfriend and offered to let him see a video of the rape in exchange for what was described as a "night of pleasure".

That middle schooler is claiming she's innocent and that all of the allegations are based on Instagram messages from a fake account.

Police are also still investigating whether the teens who have been charged in the kidnapping and rape have ties to gangs, but thus far, they have not been able to confirm those allegations.
