FREDERICK, Md. - Frederick Police identified a man shot by police Saturday night.
Police say Roy Turner, 44 of Frederick was shot Saturday just before 11:30 p.m. after he hit an officer with his car. Police stopped Turner in the 1200 block of West Patrick Street after observing a “suspicious situation.” During the investigation Turner struck the police officer with his car. The officer then fired into the car, hitting Turner in the arm.
Turner was taken to Shock Trauma for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Police say once he is released he will be arrested on several motor vehicle violations and drug possession with intent to distribute charges.
