Frederick County health officials are looking for people who may have come into contact with a rabid cat.

The Maryland Department of Health Rabies Laboratory said a cat from Libertytown tested positive for the rabies virus.

The cat, described as a black-and-white domestic short haired male was picked up by Animal Control near the 7-Eleven in Libertytown on July 3.
