Thursday environmental advocates and legislators challenged Governor Hogan to take a stand against climate change.

The advocates rallied at the State Capitol in support of the Chesapeake Bay Program. They demanded Hogan to protect the Bay and maintain a healthy environment, despite his previous elimination of state-level protective regulations.

"Up until now he's been silent on public policy, but worse, he's promoted actions that are deleterious to the Bay," said Senator Paul Pinsky.

During the rally, Hogan and other regional leaders were inside discussing methods to preserve the Chesapeake Bay. According to Hogan, the state is looking for new ways to involve youth in environmental protection.

One upcoming method is "Project Green Classrooms," which will help children get involved in finding solutions to environmental challenges.
